An Insufficient Response is an artistic project comprising a series of photographs stripped of their original context, paired with four short texts. Each text proposes a different frame of interpretation, deliberately blurring the line between truth and fiction. The aim is to create shifting experiences of the same images—each pairing generating a distinct, yet equally plausible, universe. In doing so, the work explores the instability of meaning in both photography and narrative, and how perception is never fixed but always contingent on the stories we bring to what we see.
